Spanish and Latin American literature have had a fluctuating relationship, not always free from colonial misunderstandings, misgivings and stigmas, although it has also offered moments of splendor and solidarity, especially in difficult political contexts. Crossing literature. Studies on literary contacts between Spain and Latin America brings together a series of studies on transatlantic literary relations from Modernism to the 21st century, taking as a starting point some significant episodes, such as the relationship of various Mexican writers with Spain, the initial reception of García Márquez or Cortázar, or the current changes in the Spanish-language publishing market.
