This essay aims to set aside the polarized hotbed of Colombian public opinion and analyze the texts that have been commissioned, from the literature, of the most representative figure of the guerrilla in Colombia during the twentieth century: Pedro Antonio Marín. This is a necessary book to understand that the memories of an individual are, on many occasions, the historical memories of a collective and this work tracks them to inform us in detail about the painful armed confrontation. Mistakes as a country and the gross failures of the armed movement are exposed with the sole purpose of shielding peace, therefore, the work argues that to fulfill that task it is necessary to read about war.
