El legado de las utopías narrates the development of the author's initiation trip, first, from Europe's heart to Buenos Aires and from there to Chiapas's heart. Like any good book of trips it nourishes itself in the experiences of the author, in highlighting the geographical and historical marvels of the crossed landscape, but it also centres and especially, in the human landscape, in the present history.
As the story advances the author transforms, as he discovers the contemporary history, or rather, the numerous histories that interbreed, and that are endowing the narrator of a clear-sightedness, a sensibility and a critical approximation with those that provoke the poverty and the pain among the humble people. In this aspect it is much more than a book of trips, it can be said that the author stretches a new way between societies, a change of intelligence, of confraternization, of festive reunion among societies who have much to contribute mutually. A new concept is being born in the relations between individuals and societies and it cries out for generosity, justice and cooperation.
