Limes XX. Estudios sobre la frontera romana. Roman frontier studies. Volume III

The XXth International Congress of Roman Frontier Studies was held in León (Spain) between the 4th and the 11th September 2006, organized under the management of Ángel Morillo Cerdán. In facti, this has been the first time that Spain hosts the prestigious Roman Military Frontiers Congress. His Majesty the King of Spain kindly accepted to be the President of Honour of the Congress. Together with the main organizing institution, the University of León, the congress was held under the sponsorship and suppport of many institutions, among them the European Commission (Progam Culture 2000), Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia, Ministerio de Defensa, Junta de Castilla y León, Diputación de León, Ayuntamiento de León, CajaEspaña, Xunta de Galicia, Ayuntamiento de Astorga, CSIC, Real Academia de la Historia and the Sociedad Española de Estudios Clásicos. An important number of scientific collaborators contributed with their efforts to the organization of the Congress. In this volumens we present the texts of the oral communications and posters presented in the Congress, a total of 138 contributions.
